Joyce Juntune, Executive Director, j-juntune@tamu.edu Phone: 979-776-9347. Joyce Juntune is a Lecturer in the Department of Educational Psychology at Texas A&M University. She teaches graduate level courses in gifted education and undergraduate courses in creativity. She spent several years as a public school teacher in Minnesota and California. Dr. Juntune was one of the developers of Project REACH – a staff development program for integrating creative thinking into content area classrooms, and served as its Director for 5 years. She was the Executive Director of the National Association for Gifted Children for ten years and the Executive Director of the American Creativity Association for six years.
She has traveled extensively across the United States and Canada providing training to thousands of teachers in over 500 school districts in the areas of creative thinking, instructional improvement, differentiated curriculum, creative problem solving, and gifted education. She has also provided training in creative thinking and problem solving to law firms, hospital and health care professionals, corporate managers, small business owners and mangers, and members of the transportation industry.
Dr. Juntune has been a keynote speaker at state and national conferences
and a guest on several radio and television shows. She has written numerous
books for educators on using creative thinking as a tool for building comprehension.

Rodney Culver Hill, Director of University Partnerships - rhill@archone.tamu.edu -- Rodney Hill worked for several award winning architectural firms before
seeking his graduate degree in Social and Behavioral Factors in Architecture
at the University of California at Berkeley. After graduation, Rodney was
hired by Texas A&M
University and has been teaching there for 34 years. Rodney and his wife,
Susan, reside in College Station, Texas.
Rodney continues to work as an architect but is better know for his sculpture. He first won a national sweepstakes award from the Guild for Religious Architecture for an unusual crucifix just before beginning his graduate studies. At Berkeley, Rodney worked his way through graduate school selling sculptures through two galleries in San Francisco. He has over 300 commissions in several countries.
Berkeley hired Rodney and another graduate student to teach the first undergraduate course on Future Studies in 1968. It became apparent to him that creativity and the study of the future were inseparable in an age of accelerating change.
Rodney is a full professor at Texas A&M University and has also served as Associate Dean, and Director of Undergraduate Programs for the College of Architecture. He has taught courses in Italy and has been in charge of the Guatemala Exchange Program for the College of Architecture.

William ("Bud") Wurtz - Director - william.wurtz@tamu.edu --
William Wurtz (nickname: Bud) has been a successful coach, trainer and speaker
for over twenty years. He has helped to bring about productive organizational
change and individual development and growth for hundreds of executives and
professionals at four different Fortune 500 companies, prior to establishing
his own coaching and training practice. Bud has expertise in performance management
systems, total quality management and change management, in addition to national
recognition for his work in creativity and innovation, and ROI evaluation
research for learning programs. Among his many honors and certifications,
Bud has earned the prestigious Registered Organization Development Consultant
designation from the Organization Development Institute. He is a recognized
leader in the learning field, having served as a president of both the American
Creativity Association and one of the largest chapters of the American Society
for Training and Development. Since he practices what he preaches, Bud is
currently continuing his learning by working toward a doctorate at Texas A&M
University and approaching the conclusion of his formal training and certification
as a professional coach from Corporate Coach U. and the International Coach
Federation. He holds a BA from the University of Kansas and a master's degree
from The Wichita State University.

Steven M. Smith, Director - stevesmith@tamu.edu -- Dr. Steven M. Smith is a Full Professor of Psychology at Texas A&M University, and he is a founding member of the Creative Cognition Research Group that was first established there in the 1980s. He has conducted many experimental studies examining aspects of creative thinking, focusing especially on the ways that mental impasses can be caused and how those impasses can be resolved. Dr. Smith and his colleagues have published numerous research articles on theoretical and applied aspects of creative thinking, and he has given invited addresses on the subject around the world, including England, Spain, and China. His books on creative cognition include Creative Cognition: Theory, Research, and Applications, The Creative Cognition Approach, Creativity and the Mind: Discovering the Genius Within, and Creative Thought: An Investigation of Conceptual Structures and Processes. Dr. Smith’s applied research in creativity, funded by the National Science Foundation, has dealt with creative conceptual design in engineering, and with information discovery in computer science.
